StellaM's family loved her but a change in work commitments caused her to be left for long hours , much too long for a young dog. When the family reached out to ASR for help, we were delighted we were able to help. Amazing volunteers are picking her up today and she will begin her new life with ASR on New Year's Eve ! StellaM is a typical puppy, energetic and silly......but loving and very sweet. StellaM lived with another dog but has not met any cats. A 5 year old child visited from time to time and it was reported that StellaM was fine with him. Although this adorable gal did attend some basic training classes , continued training in a Group Class ( as required by ASR for all adoptable dogs) will help her learn to focus on her new family when under distraction from other dogs and people. Her foster Mom says this about her :
· Very sweet and can be a Velcro dog wanting to lay as close to her human as possible. · LOVES belly rubs · No jealousy or guarding tendencies. · Housetrained and will get your attention to go out. Since we are home during the day she goes out @ 3-4 hours, but in the evening we can get occupied and she will come and let you know she needs to go out. · · Does well in her crate and sleeps 8 hours at night before needing to go out. We have the crate in our bedroom. · Learning basic commands…does extremely well with sit…lay and stay are a work in progress · Rides well in a car
