Phoenix has lived at least 2 or 3 lifetimes in his short life. He has figuratively and literally risen from the ashes of a not so wonderful beginning to a progressively better life. Phoenix is a beautiful dog who has a bright and shining future ahead of him now. Phoenix is a big, friendly and good natured boy. He is a totally blank slate that is definitely in need of some serious training. He has no leash manners and will happily take you - pull you- for a brisk walk instead of the other way around. :) Training with his people will go a long way to help Phoenix develop the trust, confidence and discipline needed to make a happy and well balanced dog....and it will further cement that all important bond between dog and owner. Phoenix is friendly with other dogs, good in a home with cats, and would most likely be happiest in a home with older children. Phoenix loves to play ball - anywhere - yard, house -- anywhere! He will bond very quickly and tightly to his family and his environment and he does require a strong leader.
