After finding himself in a very scary place - a shelter - at such a young and tender age, Higgins is enjoying life now in his foster home, complete with 4 big German Shepherds-  (WOW) - and some cats (eh) -- and, best of all,  some great humans!  Life is GOOD!  Higgins doesn't remember what either his mom or his dad looked like - or who they were - but he does insist that one of them (maybe) was a German Shepherd....or knew a German Shepherd! :)  We don't really care because Higgins is out of that scary shelter and safe -- we consider him as much a German Shepherd as some of the others that have come through the rescue --  and will make sure that he will find a wonderful home. He is bright, happy and adorable - and loves everyone.

If you feel that your home would be just perfect for this cute little guy, please do contact us.  Remember, please, that  Higgins is still only a baby.  He will grow to be much larger.  He does need a commitment to him for his lifetime - oh say about 12 - 15 years; and he will require right now the same gentle and positive  direction and training that you would give to a human baby so that he will in time become an awesome and well mannered adult.

1/21/12 - A Note From Higgins' Foster Mom - Wow! What a feisty puppy! Higgins has no trouble at all standing up to four full-sized GSD's and lets them know when they've pushed him too far - he pushes back! He is vocal, bouncy, mouthy and is one of those pups who is going to absolutely thrive with training and would be a great dog for competition obedience or even agility (although it does look like he is going to be a BIG boy when he's done growing!).  Higgins will do best in a home with active people and older kids only. Higgins is a l m o s t potty trained (still has some accidents but does most of his business outside) and holds it all night :). If you think you can keep up with Higgins and want to add a large an active family member to your home then ask to meet Higgins!

If you are not yet approved to adopt from All Shepherd Rescue, please fill out our application online at www.allshepherdrescue.com.  Our Adoption fee is $250.00
