Cypress is a sweet and friendly velcro puppy. :-) Cypress is house and crate trained and goes into her create happily - especially if there is a treat waiting for her. She keeps her crate clean, even during the night. One of her favorite things to do is take a walk, which she does quite nicely for her young age. She walks along staying right next to her foster family and stopping every now and then to sniff the flowers. She also loves her West Paw Hurley bone and will sit contently in the grass and sunshine chewing on it. Cypress comes when called and will sit nicely for a yummy treat. Once she has given and received some love, she will sit contently while her beautiful long coat is brushed. BTW, she loves tummy rubs! She is food motivated and eager to learn new things. Once shown, she remembers. She is very social and very curious - especially about the "funny" moves her human sibling does while playing Xbox. 5/18 Update. Cypress seems to like being with her foster mom or human sibling. If you move to a different room, she follows closely behind and then plants herself smack under your feet once you settle. (Doesn't matter what you are doing, cooking, reading, cleaning) she just wants to be near. She has a great on/off switch. If you feel like playing she will romp around with a toy or take a nice long walk. If you have a nap on your mind, then she will curl up near you and take a nap for however long you desire. Cypress is a happy go lucky, and rather agreeable young lady. She is healing nicely from her spay and will wear her special shirt that keeps her from chewing her incision without complaint. :) When she sees her fur siblings headed her way she just can't control the tail wagging. The only time she barks is if she sees herself reflected in the mirror. She knows that to get her meals she must sit and wait for her food and now she just sits when she hears the food bowls being filled, smart cookie. 5/29 UPDATE. Cypress has a bit of a prey drive. She has recently become very interested in squirrels and bunnies and will chase them if allowed. She can be corrected but she is fast and needs to be watched. She has not been cat tested but with this behavior it is likely that she would be at a minimum overly curious about cats and smaller dogs. We believe she is a sibling to Magnolia, but not Hawthorn and was rescued from the same SC shelter as the other 5 puppies! **When applying to adopt one of our puppies, please remember this: Up to the age of 8 months old, puppies cannot be left alone for a standard work day. Arrangements will have to be in place for 4 hour intervals until the pups are at least 8 months old. Having someone with them every 4 hours until they are older greatly facilitates the housebreaking process If you are not yet approved to adopt from All Shepherd Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.allshepherdrescue.com. Our adoption fee is $250.00.
