Update: Loki has two new loves........water and friend's dogs :-) 

Loki is settling in nicely in his foster home, where he is living with two cats and has neighborhood dogs over for playtime. Loki is friendly, crate trained, and non reactive to barking dogs while out walking. He LOVES to play ball and will play as long as someone will throw or hide it! He loves car rides and visiting places - especially if there is water. Loki would be a GREAT candidate for S&R, K-9 Nosework, Agility, rally etc.  

He is a  high energy dog that will require an experienced GSD adopter who has the time to stimulate his mind and help him work off some of his energy with exercise and training! He is so exuberant we would not recommend him for a home with smaller children. 

Regarding cats - Loki does have a high prey drive. Of our two cats, one he mostly ignores - the one that constantly wants his attention. The other cat refuses to give up his place in the house and often gets chased for small distances (but other times walks under Loki). We've made it work, but the cat that gets chased definitely has more stress in his life.   

Loki will ONLY be adopted to a home with experience working with/training high drive/high energy working breeds.
