Meet Otis, a gorgeous Great Pyrenees living in North Carolina who unfortunately finds himself in need of a new home. This incredibly sweet boy's owner passed away unexpectedly, and though his owner's extended family loves him very much, they are unable to keep him long-term due to his size.

Otis is the quintessential Pyrenees.....a 3 year old, 120 lb teddy bear who melts your stress away when you look into his loving eyes! Some of his favorites are chasing ball, ear scratches, ice cubes, veggies and fruits, snuggling with his kitty siblings, and just being with his people. True to his breed, he is an excellent guardian of his home and  family. He is house trained, does well in the car, and knows basic commands.

Otis' current foster mom says he's great with cats and her small dog. He hasn't been around many other dogs though and can be dog selective at times. If you have other animals, we suggest slow, proper introductions to allow the dogs time to adjust to living with each other.

ABOUT HIS FOREVER FAMILY:
Otis is looking for the perfect forever family! Could that be with you?  Due to his size, he would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can run off some of his energy, or with a family who can take him on walks. He is primarily an indoor pup, but LOVES being outside in cooler weather. He has done well with older kids/teens, but has not been around small children or toddlers, so we recommend a home with children 10+ who are familiar with proper dog interaction.
