Freyja is dear, sweet dog who is currently located at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter in Cheyenne, Wyoming.   She was surrendered by an owner who could no longer care for her due to personal reasons.

Freyja’s ideal situation is a low traffic, adult only home, hopefully with a playmate who will help her with her wariness to new people.  An owner who is patient, caring and willing to spend time training her will be rewarded with a devoted and loving new companion.

She attended training at the Wyoming K9 Academy and knows basic commands.
She is a social dog, enjoys play groups at the shelter, which she attends routinely.
Freyja likes to play chase and has been somewhat good with fetch – check out her picture.

She has never lived with cats, but given that her previous owner stated she will chase rabbits and squirrels,  cats are probably not a good idea.

Shelter life is extremely difficult for Freyja and she is currently on medication for anxiety.  We would be happy to provide medication to take home so that she can continue and acclimate to her new surroundings, as well as have enough so that her new family can visit with their primary veterinarian about what options to proceed with next.

Freyja is a wonderful dog who is ready for the next chapter of her life in a new forever, loving home.
