Jeff is doing fantastic.......growing and thriving with his dedicated foster.....but we have some NEWS about him!! Originally we thought he was a GSD-Bernese mix but recently discovered his Mom was actually some sort of Pointer , so his profile has been updated . Dad was a GSD. Also, after his recent routine vet visit, the vet estimated his max weight at maturity will be probably around 40 lbs , which has also been updated on his profile. This little boy faced a lot of obstacles in his short life. He was seen with his parents in a very rural area of NC notorious as " dumping ground " for dogs :-(. A nice woman fed his mom and mom brought Jeff with her one day. Dad was seen but then disappeared . It took a while to capture him but this kind woman persisted and is still attempting to capture the female adult dogs he was found with. When ASR was contacted we had a wonderful foster say yes so we were able to bring him to MD. A wonderful dog loving pilot from Pilots and Paws flew him from NC to his waiting foster Mom. This is so much easier on dogs and puppies than long hours in a car, and we are so grateful to this wonderful organization ( https://www.pilotsnpaws.org/ With all the changes, during his first night in foster care he was very frightened and hid in a corner. A couple of days later, with regular meals and lots of attention from his foster, he is now playing with toys and his playful personality is emerging ! Jeff has evolved into such a fun puppy who loves to be talked to and hang out with his humans. Jeff is just learning that the world can be a safe place for him. His future adopter or family will have to take things slowly but within a few days Jeff will show them what an adorable and affectionate pup he is ! When applying to adopt one of our puppies, please remember : Up to the age of 8 months old, puppies cannot be left alone for a standard 8-9 work day. Arrangements will have to be in place for 4 hour intervals until the pups are at least 8 months old. Having someone with them every 4 hours until they are older greatly facilitates the housebreaking process as well as assists with the general socialization of your pup ! If you are not yet approved to adopt from All Shepherd Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.allshepherdrescue.com. Our adoption fee is $350.00 More about JeffGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Cratetrained, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Intelligent Other Pictures of Jeff (click to see larger version):
