Thor has been referred to as “magnificent”.  And he is.  He is a simply gorgeous young male German Shepherd.  He is now presently looking for a new and permanent home and has come a long way to our rescue because we said we could help him.  He is a smart, friendly, goofy, playful and happy boy who could use a refresher course in training although he does know a few basic commands.  He is so eager to please.  He has his collar, his leash, all his bags packed and is ready to go to that forever home!  Thor would make a fantastic family pet.  He will need the guidance of his people and he will need to attend training classes with them.  He will excel, we promise! --  And his owners will learn a thing or two also. Thor had a cat as a family friend in his past life, so he may or may not be able to live peacefully with them as dynamics do change.  Thor is residing in his foster home and waiting eagerly to meet his new family.   Please contact us to set up an appointment to meet Thor. UPDATE:  From Thor's foster Dad:  Thor is a terrific young (22 month) purebred German Shepherd dog. He is an absolute joy and loves everyone and everything. Be warned he loves to cuddle!!! He is very sociable with other dogs and even seems to like the company of cats. I don’t think he has a mean bone in his body. He understands most basic commands, is housebroken, enjoys playing ball and he is an absolute chowhound. Thor weighs close to 100 pounds but is actually skinny so he needs to fill out over time. He is food driven so he will be very easy to train. Thor is a very happy and well adjusted dog who will make few demands on your life other than a warm bed, good food and a family to love.
