This little waif with the woebegone experession is Abby!  This sweet young girl is new to us.  We don't know too much about her yet, although it is pretty apparent that she has really led a hardscrabble life up to now.  She came into a shelter as a stray and is as thin as a rail, terribly underweight and malnourished, with ear infections and in need of some really good food and a bath!  Abby is in her foster home now.  She has had a nice bath, is having those ears attended to and we are working on adding a few pounds to her skinny body with some healthful, nutritious food.  Life is finally good!  She even has a fur foster boy-friend to look out for her!  She will blossom into the beautiful dog she really is  - soon!

Abby has great movement, very lithe and springy. Great energy, but not overwhelming. Early successes with sit, come and stay. Barks appropriately at outside things. She is going to be one smart cookie - should go to a home that wants the whole GSD package - lots of energy and smarts. She will want something to do - training, work or whatever, this is not a TV-watching dog like a certain white GSD I know. But she also has some kind of zen thing going - likes to sit and just look into your eyes. Total cuddle bunny-she just loves to give/get some lovin'.
