Mater is a wonderful, gentle and kind-hearted soul who has not had such an easy road to travel these past few years!  He is ready to put the past behind him and move on!  Mater is good with other dogs  fine with children.

Update from Foster:

Mater is settling in amazingly well!! He is an absolute joy to be around! He is housebroken and crate trained.  He is an active boy, who LOVES to play with me and his foster sisters. But he is happy to just lay in his dog bed and sleep when I am doing nothing. 

He is a social boy and greets everyone very politely. He needs some obedience training but is a very quick learner. He will be the star of any obedience class. He does best when he understands what is expected of him. He is active, but not overly so.  Walks around the neighborhood and some yard time, will be all he needs to be a calm welcome member of your family.
