Jackson was a stray. He came to All Shepherd Rescue late Saturday night from Virginia. He was very thin and looked as though he had seen some pretty hard times. He was so sweet and appreciative of all the attention he was now recieving, it was as if he could sense how he was finally getting all the help he needed. His foster became very concerned with how listless he was and took his temperature. Jackson had a high fever so, his worried foster mom rushed him to an emergency veterinary hospital. The initial diagnosis was an internal infection caused by possible obstruction and rupture of the intestinal wall. Emergency surgery was performed. Unfortunately, Jackson was found to have inoperable and widespread cancer. With ASR's sorrowful permission, the Veterinarian released Jackson from his pain and misery without ever waking him from the anesthesia. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
